How your usage is counted
Exactly what counts toward your TinyCourier plan, active subscribers and emails sent, when limits reset, and how to track your usage so there are no surprises.
No one likes billing surprises. Here’s exactly how TinyCourier measures your usage, so you always know where you stand.
The two things we count
Your plan is based on two numbers:
1. Active subscribers
The people currently able to receive your emails, your subscribed contacts.
Who counts:
- ✅ Subscribed contacts.
Who doesn’t:
- ❌ Unsubscribed people.
- ❌ Bounced or complained addresses.
- ❌ Pending (unconfirmed) signups.
So cleaning your list, removing dead or opted-out contacts, directly lowers your active count. (See Subscriber statuses explained.)
2. Emails sent
The number of individual emails you send during your billing month. One campaign to 1,000 people = 1,000 sends. Automation emails and test sends count toward this too.
When your limits reset
Your sending count resets every month on your billing anniversary, the day of the month you subscribed, not the 1st of the calendar month.
Signed up on the 12th? Your sends reset on the 12th each month. Subscriber limits aren’t a monthly reset, they reflect your list size right now.
Tracking your usage
You don’t have to guess. Your current usage is shown on both your Dashboard and Billing page, with a meter showing how much of each limit you’ve used.

What happens at the limit
- We warn you as you get close.
- If you hit a limit, you can upgrade to keep going.
- Nothing is ever deleted for reaching a limit. Your data is safe.
Smart ways to stay within plan
- Clean your list regularly. Fewer dead subscribers = lower active count and better deliverability. See Why emails bounce.
- Target your sends. Emailing the right segment instead of everyone uses fewer sends and gets better results.
