Securing your account with two-factor authentication
Turn on two-factor authentication (2FA) in TinyCourier to add an extra layer of protection to your account.
Your email list is valuable, so it’s worth protecting. Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds a second lock to your account: even if someone learns your password, they still can’t get in without your phone.
How it works
After you turn on 2FA, logging in takes two steps:
- Your password (something you know).
- A 6-digit code from an app on your phone (something you have).
The code changes every 30 seconds, so it can’t be reused or guessed.
Turning it on
- Go to Profile → Two-factor authentication.
- Confirm your password.
- Scan the QR code with an authenticator app on your phone (free options include Google Authenticator, Authy, or 1Password).
- Enter the 6-digit code the app shows to confirm.
Done! From now on, you’ll enter a code when you log in.
Save your recovery codes
When you turn on 2FA, we give you a set of recovery codes. These are your backup way in if you ever lose your phone.
Important: Save these codes somewhere safe (a password manager is ideal). Without your phone and without these codes, you can be locked out.
Other good habits
- Use a strong, unique password for TinyCourier (change it under Profile).
- Don’t share your login. Need to give someone access? That’s safer than sharing a password.
A couple of minutes here saves a big headache later. We recommend everyone turns on 2FA.
