Deleting data and handling privacy requests

Sometimes you need to permanently remove personal data, because someone asked, or because you’re closing up. TinyCourier gives you the tools to do it cleanly and stay compliant with privacy laws like GDPR.

”Forget” a single subscriber

When someone exercises their right to be forgotten, use Forget on their subscriber profile.

This permanently erases their personal data (email, name, custom fields). It’s different from unsubscribing or deleting:

• Unsubscribe: stops emails, keeps their record.
• Delete: removes them from your list.
• Forget: scrubs their personal data for good, irreversibly.

Forget can’t be undone. Use it for genuine privacy requests, not routine cleanup.

Export a subscriber’s data

If someone asks for a copy of the data you hold on them, you can export their record to hand over. This satisfies a GDPR “data access” request.

Closing your account

If you decide to leave, you can request account deletion from your Profile. A few things to know:

• There’s a grace period (about 30 days) where you can change your mind and restore everything.
• After that, your personal data is permanently purged.
• Some records (like billing history) may be retained where the law requires it.
